Chromatic Polynomials and the Spectrum of the Kneser Graph

Philipp Reinfeld

Abstract

Using the transition matrix method, an explicit expression of the chromatic polynomial for the composition  Cn[Kb]  of the cycle  Cn  and the complete graph  Kb  will be obtained. In order to be able to do so the spectrum of the adjacency matrix of the Kneser graph  K(k,b)  will be determined.
